Can I record a TikTok LIVE after it has ended?
No. Recording begins from the moment the active stream is connected. TokCapture cannot recover an earlier or already-ended part of the LIVE.
Do I need to keep the browser tab open?
No. After the status says Recording live, the capture continues on the server until you stop it, the LIVE ends, or the recording limit is reached.
What video quality will I get?
TokCapture selects the highest usable stream exposed for that broadcast. The final resolution may be 1080 × 1920, 720 × 1280, or another source size depending on what the creator and TikTok provide.
Why is my recording not 1080p?
The source LIVE may only be available at 720p because of the creator's device, connection, broadcast settings, or TikTok delivery. The recorder preserves the source but does not artificially upscale it.
How do I download the finished video?
After stopping, wait for the preview and Download MP4 button. You can also open My recordings, choose the video, and download it from its separate page.
Can I record multiple TikTok LIVEs at once?
Yes. Open Batch recording, add each active LIVE link separately, and stop each creator independently from the workspace.
How long are recordings stored?
Completed videos remain in My recordings for seven days. If you delete one, its recovery record remains available for 24 hours before permanent removal.
Why does a LIVE link fail?
The broadcast may have ended, the link may be incomplete, or the stream may be private, age-restricted, region-limited, subscriber-only, or temporarily unavailable.
A reliable recording checklist
- Confirm the creator is live right now.
- Copy a fresh share link from the active broadcast.
- Wait until the status says Recording live.
- Use Stop & save instead of closing during finalization.
- Download the MP4 within the seven-day storage window.
